Cleaned my craft desk. And not just cleaned as is "clear just enough space to work" but completely cleared it, cleaned it, put things where they belong (and come to the conclusion that another trip to Ikea is needed soon).

I've also finished the card for my cousin, who's had a baby girl a couple of days ago. And later today I'll start making a birthday card for my best friend.

Next week I'll have to repackage and label my stamps and dies to get those properly sorted.

He brought my kitchen a "new" toy last night. It is a kitchenaid Artisan.
Now I just have to wash all the accessories that were with it.
Yes it is used.

Looking for new, cheap curtains.

After the fire I threw out my curtains of my bedroom, because it would cost more to get them cleaned than to buy new ones. But I never bought new ones, I don't need them for privacy and by that time the ivy obscured the harsh security lighting of the museum next door.

However, next door they are renovating the whole building and they also want to work on the roof, which means putting scaffolding in our yard, right in front of my bedroom. Which means I need curtains before they start on the outside of the building.

Putting together the first batch of Christmas cards. I (die) cut, inked, embossed and textured pasted everything yesterday and let it all dry so I can put them together today. Now I need to think about the next design (because it would be much too easy to just go with one design the first year I'm making my own cards).

In about half an hour I'm leaving for my monthly trip to the craft store, to pick up my subscription kit plus another couple of bits and bobs.

Packing for a two day trip to Paris, leaving tomorrow.

Bit of traveling coming up for me for the rest of this month (all work related) in fact. I'm back in Paris for the first two days of next week, then a day trip to Manchester on Thursday.

After a party for my father in law's 80th birthday on the Saturday, I then go over to Kiev in Ukraine on the Sunday for 11 nights.

BTW, has anybody who's been to Kiev got any advice/recommendations?

I think I'm in the mood an over the top action film which doesn't need a lot of thinking or an old time favourite.

I'm trying to order something but my debit card won't work. Then I remembered that this morning I cancelled the card and requested a new one that will also work with touchless card machines.

So, arrived in Kiev on Sunday and, so far, it's been a nice place to visit.

It helps that the client have put us up at a very nice hotel (Premier Palace) and have provided a driver to take us to and from work.

Also managed to get out to restaurants in the evening - a couple of traditional Ukrainian restaurants and a Belgian (!) one last night. All very good, although one of the traditional Ukrainian dishes we tried (at the behest of our client) was basically thinly sliced pig fat with seasoning - not to my taste really, but you have to try these things. Also, very cheap. One of the Ukranian restaurants cost us about £6 a head for main course and beer - the other two have been about £10 a head, but we had starter, main course, beer and vodka in those.

Looking forward to the weekend now when I plan to get out and have a proper explore in daylight and, of course, buy presents for the family for when I get home next Thursday.
