I received one PDF and I'm not certain why. It was a 3 book series. Books 1 and 3 were ePubs, book 2 was a PDF. I'm tempted to call them cozy science fiction.

Only had 2 download as pdf so far. Both from Tor, both by James White. Beginning Operations and Mind Changer.
The amazon version is definitely a poorly cleaned up OCR of the paperback. Originally written in the 60s, published in paperback in the 70s, ebook early 2000s. I periodically check to see if there's an epub version but considered how rough the amazon version is... |

But, out of the 400 plus amz downloads that I've done only those 2 have been pdf - age? starting condition of the source file? Just wish you could consistently tell if a purchase would give you a downloaded epub. |

None of the comics I have which should be DRM-free had the download option. Possible that they got them later. I haven't checked. Many of them were originally purchased from Comixology before Amazon shut it down. With Comixology, you could download those in both pdf and cbz. Last edited by lkmiller; Today at 05:58 AM. Reason: switched either/or to both/and in the last sentence |

I haven't even checked which of my Kindle purchases have epub downloads. I don't want an Amazon epub anyway, even a KFX is preferable to that. So, as long as the DRM can be removed, I'll download my Amazon ebooks via the Windows app, and if Amazon disables that method, I won't buy any more Amazon ebooks.
