I only use KOReader so I unfortunately have no use for this (I also don't have a PW); apologies but I will not test this. Perhaps someone else with the time and inclination will be able to do it.

maybe it's off-topic, just in the case anyone is interested: I've recompiled kterm terminal emulator to run on armhf.
here the steps made: https://github.com/bfabiszewski/kter...ent-2600720240 (absolutely no warranty) It's working (and tested only) on my jailbroken KS 2022 with 5.17.1.0.1 Thank you HackerDude and team!! (end of digression) |

When I installed WB, it worked on two Kindle PW4s with 5.17.1.0.3 so the firmware version is unlikely to be the issue. |

Is there a way using this jailbreak that I can remove the percentage from the battery? I've always found it annoying. If not, no worries.

Why, who says it doesn't work with this? I have the latest paperwhite and this FW and I'm using KOReader now. There are some minor issues, but as far as I can tell "it's jailbroken".
On that note, when I try to update KOReader wirelessly it says failed to update, try again, cancel, or abort. Trying again yields the same results, but KOReader seems to update by some mysterious method after restarting it anyway, so that's weird. Similar thing happens when I update manually by dropping the latest nightly into the root folder and updating through KUAL—I get no feedback on the update, but when I check the KOReder version later on, it shows the latest version. Could I have done something wrong during jailbreak? I keep thinking the MRPI must not have installed correctly for some reason. Any ideas? |

Updated my PW4 to 5.16.9 to try Winterbreak on newer firmware.
"If an “Unexpected error” occurs when you try to log in to the Kindle Store or only the Kindle Store home page is displayed, try the following solution:" Even with Unexpected error solution it just doesnt trigger. It's the same store error again and again. Could anyone help? |
