Don't know if it's been mentioned (I didn't read through all 25 pages of this thread and the search didn't bring it up), but the CSB is available for free in the YouVersion Bible app (which itself is free).

I don't remember it being mentioned, so thanks.

I'm not familiar with YouVersion (in the sense of having used it any). I'll have to check into it.

Back when I used YouVersion, I had about 40 different English versions downloaded into the app. Not sure if they're still this generous.

Wow. I didn't know that there were that many English versions of the Bible, even going back to Tyndale and Coverdale and those guys.

When you said, "Not sure if they're still this generous," that leads me to think that this is not a free website or, I should say, not all of the products are free?

Youversion Bible app still allows you to download many of their Bibles. Of course you can only use them within the app and some publishers ask for your email when you download their Bible version. I like the Bible app and use the audio Bible the most. They have KJV, NIV, NASB and a few others in professionally read audio. Also for Alexa users you can have the Bible app read chapters of the Bible to you, but you don't get to choose which version it reads from. It is read by a person though instead of Alexa. e.g : "Alexa have the Bible app read John chapter 3."

Thanks for the additional info.

I have been using Bible Gateway for listening to the Bible (NASB95), but I haven't been altogether pleased with the narration. I guess that I'm asking a lot from a narration that is, after all, free. ha

I have three, I think that it is, sets of CD's of the New Testament or the whole Bible (again NASB--one of them may be the original NASB), that I bought prior to the proliferation of online narrations. I really like the narrations, but I hate messing with CD's. One or two of them, at least, are MP3, though, so that eliminates a lot of the shuffling of CD's. And CD's do get scratched . . . .

I don't have Alexa. I hear people talk about it in good terms, so it must be a good thing. Frankly, I have almost no idea what it is (no one needs to make a post to tell me, but thank you), except that you can hear things from it! And, I've seen a pic or two on Amazon's website. If you know what I mean by an "early adopter," well I'm just the opposite.

The current YouVersion list lists 50 English translations, though they list minor revisions (Catholic/Protestant, US/UK English) as separate versions.

Using their rules, I just counted the different Bible translations that I have in Calibre and came up with 46, of which 22 don't overlap with YouVersion. In addition, I can think of a few more off the top of my head that aren't in either list, so we're up in the mid-to-high seventies.

Here's my list, in no particular order:

Translations by committee:
KJV
NKJV
American Standard Version
Holman Christian Standard Bible
Amplified Bible (1987 and 2015)
NIV (1984 and 2011)
Today’s New International Version
New International Reader’s Version (NIrV, a simplified English version for kids and non-native English readers)
Geneva Bible (1599)
New Life Version (Barbour Publishing)
GOD’S WORD (Baker Publishing)
English Standard Version (Crossway Publishing)
RSV (Protestant and Catholic editions)
NRSV (Protestant and Catholic editions)
Orthodox Study Bible (Thomas Nelson’s Septuagint translation)
JPS TANAKH (Jewish Publication Society)
Common English Bible (Protestant and Catholic editions)
New World Translation (Jehovah's Witnesses; 1984 and 2013)
New American Bible
New Living Translation (Tyndale House Publishing)
The Voice
New American Standard Bible
New English Translation of the Septuagint (NETS, a scholarly translation based on the NRSV)
New Cambridge Paragraph Bible (scholarly 2005 update of the KJV)
The Living Bible
New English Translation

Translations by a single author or ministry, but that fit a reasonable definition of having been "published":
The Clear Word (a paraphrase by a Seventh Day Adventist pastor)
Revised Common Version (based on Noah Webster’s “Common Version”)
Hebraic Roots Bible (from the “Congregation of Yahweh”)
A New New Testament (Hal Taussig and John Dominic Crossan)
Complete Jewish Bible (translated by some guy trying to convert Jews to Christianity)
The Message (a popular paraphrase)
The Action Bible (graphic novel style Bible)
the word on the street (strange, but interesting "street style" paraphrase)
The Five Books of Moses (Pentateuch translation and commentary by Robert Alter)
Jubilee Bible (an English translation of a Spanish translation by some missionary)
Recovery Version (Living Stream Ministry)
The Kingdom New Testament (N. T. Wright)
Commentary on the Torah (Richard Elliott Friedman’s translation and commentary of the Pentateuch)
World English Bible (some guy's rendering of the ASV into more modern English)

Important translations that aren't available as ebooks:
Jerusalem Bible
New Jerusalem Bible
New English Bible (not the New English Translation)

In addition to all of these, there are a number of translations from the late 1800s and early 1900s that can be found as scans at Google Books. Some of them have been transcribed electronically, but the transcribers don't usually bother to include the translation notes (the Revised Version of 1885 and Thomson's Septuagint, for example).

I can't bring myself to deal much with CDs anymore either, so having the narration is great. The KJV & NIV are quite good audio-wise.
The Alexa devices are nice. I use them primarily for music, getting the weather report, setting timers/alarms, and reading text-to-speech ebooks as well as the Bible audio as mentioned.

My wife and I listened to the Max McLean narration of the NIV that can be streamed from biblica.com. We found him easy to listen to. The only downside is that you have to click after each chapter.

You can also download audio Bibles from "Faith Comes By Hearing". I seem to recall having to jump through some hoops to get their download software to work, but they were fine once they were downloaded.

Bible Gateway website and app also has audio Bibles. The ESV audio is pretty good and may be the same at youversion.

Ha. I had actually started a rant, at the end of my post, against CD's, and decided against it and deleted the couple of sentences that I had written. I share similar sentiments with you on the matter.

The main problem with going with free, streaming web ones to the CD's that I have is that the narration on the three or four New Testament and whole Bibles (all NASB's of some edition) is superior to the ones that you can get free off of the web. At least that is my experience, and I have not run up against any exceptions to that.

BTW--to any potential narrators of the Bible out there: "sabaoth" is not the same as "sabbath," and neither should it be pronounced that way! Argghh!

Look for them on Amazon too, if you're interested.

I have come across a few nicely dramatized audio Bibles on youtube. It has been awhile, but a search for audio bible under the translation you prefer may turn up some hits.

And, I forgot to mention that I'm picky. haha I don't like dramatized Bibles--I find the "dramatized" part to be distracting, while seemingly not adding anything to my comprehension or recall, which are my tantamount interests.

But, thanks for sharing your idea. YouTube should be the best--or, at least one of the best, websites--to get Bibles with aural and visual dramatization.
