She can make calls or texts for you. She can even send emails.

Hold down home and say Call so and so and she will or say Send Text and she will or say Send Email and she will ask to who. They must be in your address book. She also will search the web for you. You say Search The web and she will ask for what then you tell her.
Now you can get driving directions too.

Very basic compared to Google Now, Siri or Cortana. Although Cortana can't do emails. I have been using the Email option to send notes to myself. I see Amazon adding Weather, Notes soon.

The phone shows all books in your Library the only way is to block books to get rid of them all unless you remove them one by one.

So they keep coming back? Bummer. I guess so I have books blocked on my phone. It was the only way to get rid of the 12,000+ books slowing my phone to crawl. I use Moon+ for reading my books.
