I started my Great-Calibre-Check-and-Reconvert-as-Needed project kind of by accident on August 19th. So it has taken me just shy of 4 months, with the last 6 to 7 weeks using almost all of normal reading/watching TV/etc time on it. And I am FINALLY done!

I replaced/fixed cropping covers as needed, fixed formatting, removed unwanted front and back matter (excerpts, ads, etc), corrected/reformatted blurbs, fixed Table of Contents.

Now I have added all the books in my main library and the unread books from my vault library back on my Sony. And added an assortment of books (a portion of my favorites and TBR pile) to my Kobo mini. Plus I just added nearly all of my books to my Nexus via Calibre Companion (so fast compared to my Sony - LOL).

I HAVE to get some cleaning and chores done tomorrow because my house is a mess but then it's reading time.


Quick question for those using Calibre Companion, is there a way to make the series display in order when you choose "Series" from the groups but still have Title and Authors sort alphabetically when you choose them? Or do you have to choose the sort method manually each time?

I had to give away all of my Troubleshooter books after the fiasco that was Dark of Night. Having the author behave the way she did just made me unable to even keep any of my old favorites (Tom/Kelly, Stan/Teri, and Jones/Molly were my faves though I liked Nash/Tess, too. And I liked Decker and co before they all underwent personality transplants.)

This book is not romantic suspense like the other books in the series. I would rate it regular romance with alot old war flashbacks of one character who is not the hero. The secondary romance was the only thing that kept me reading. I've been told by many the other books do not follow this formula and are romantic suspense so you just have to get through this one to get to the better books.

I'm actually down to just 2220 between my two libraries. I also deleted around 200 more that were mostly freebies. I tried the first chapter and if it didn't at least catch my interest or make the "maybe someday" bar, I deleted it. Maybe I should borrow a page from Shannon Stacey's Kowalskis. "The Big Culling Project of Doom" and "The Great Calibre Check and Reconvert Project of Doom" have a nicer ring to them

Oh no!!! *cries* I love her books and have been collecting the new ones that came out I guess her new series will never be finished now. This is sooooo sad. She is one of my favorites.

I just played around with it a bit. At first glance it appears to work nicely. When you apply codes it will automatically apply the code to highest priced book then you can apply another code which will automatically apply it to the next highest priced book. So if you have codes with a variety of values be sure to enter your highest value codes first. I don't know what it does if you apply a true multi-use code.
