I'm finally in the mood to work on my photo journalling again. First up are the photos I took on my trip to London. I can finally use the London themed stickers I bought months ago and use up some of my travel themed journalling cards.

KK: I do the lay flat thing too, tho not all the time. (Actually, I do it every night before bed, so I guess it is all the time.) Your heating pad sounds wonderful!

Yeah, I need to do it for about a half hour when I get home. When I'm sleeping I'm typically on my side and almost always wake up with my furry heater stretched out behind me

Doing a happy dance.

My father is one of the hardest persons to buy a present for. He either doesn't know what he wants or, when he does know something it either doesn't exist or he wants a variation on something he has seen that doesn't exist.

Earlier in the week I treated myself to a Kånken classic backpack and he liked it a lot, but doesn't want to spend €70 on a backpack. Which means that we now have a father's day present for him that he both wants and will use regularly. That has never happened before!

In two weeks' time I'm on my way to Antwerp. I especially chose this date to avoid King's Day. That day there has always been a stage around the corner where either a band plays live or a DJ plays music. Sometimes from 1pm until 6pm but more often from 1pm until 9pm. The volume is turned up over the course of the day and all that noise is surprisingly tiring. On a nearby square a radio station holds an event with live music, though that isn't as bothersome.

Last night, however, our neighbour, who own a café, told us that this year there isn't going to be any music. The cafés and restaurants participating never made much money from the event and since 2012 they also had to pay for security and they made a loss ever since. Also, there is nothing organised on the nearby square; the radio station moved it to another venue where they have more space.

A shame, really. I had planned to go away for a couple of days on my own around King's Day from now on and now I've lost my excuse

Drying out. It has been a VERY wet day. Hundreds of thousands of people in the streets all over Thailand, all armed with squirt guns or buckets, and the wetter you get people, the more they are blessed on this This New Year's celebration called 'Songkran.' Here's 30 second peek...

Sorry about the quality. It was happening a long way away from me, and I had to try to enlarge it. But that's ALL I did. I didn't speed it up...

I agree. They came out well. I bought a small deep fryer end of last month and have a pro smart slicer to cut the onions so it was a snap. I'm saving some for supper tonight.

What is the slicer? I love to make onion soup from scratch, but by the time I get all of the onions sliced, I have to take a 30 to 40 minute break to get my eyes in control

They have demo vids over at youtube. Just search Pro Smart Slicer demo. They are a great slicer. I use mine a lot to cut up onions and potatoes along with the occasional sliced apple.

I was just able to order a refill for my eczema cream. I'm so happy. The last prescription lasted almost a year and a half since I only use it when non of the over the counter works. And even then I only use it once or twice the get the healing process kick started.

Dutch doctors are hesitant to prescribe drugs when it isn't absolutely necessary. I was afraid I either wouldn't get a refill or would get prescribed something else. Luckily I got the head assistant on the phone, she saw that my last refill was almost a year and a half ago. After a quick word with one of the doctors she has ordered a new refill, available for me to be picked up after 3pm today.
