Waiting for the delivery guys to bring my new refrigerator. After my cooking class I decided that we needed an upgrade. I found a nice Panasonic with a small freezer on the bottom. We don't use the freezer very much, storing only ice cubes and the occasional left-over. I like to shop every day for fresh foods, buy just what we need for the next meal or two, but we do need to store a LOT of condiments and cooking ingredients, and the small fridge that came with this apartment was just not up to the task.

Freezers are amazing to store broth. I put it in ice cube trays so you can get exactly how much you need.

... trying to figure it out...
The delivery guys brought the fridge at 11:30. But they told my wife she couldn't plug it in until 13:00... Any guesses? Stitchawl |

I'm getting more and more craft stuff and I'm running out of space to store it.
I have a step-in closet (too small to call it a walk in closet) which is, at the moment, is mainly used as a dumping ground for old clothes, packaging and miscellaneous stuff. I think it's time to clear it out. Reserve two shelves and the hanging section for clothes in season (and use not-so-handy closet I use now for clothes for storage for out of season clothing) and use the rest of the shelves for craft stuff. I have to think about what a good way is to store various stuff. |

If the fridge isn't kept upright during the move, there is a 'possibility' that you might damage the compressor because lubricants have not settled in places they should be. Clear as mud?

I don't think you need to wait with new fridges. We bought about 4 years back. The delivery guys made water connection and plugged it. It was working fine and started making ice... To be safe we discarded some of the first cubes of ice...

That's funny. If someone were to try to do that in the States, the Koch brothers would sue them for defacing personal property. |

Update on the kitties. Strider has quit treating Arwen like an alien. They aren't quite the snuggle bunnies that they used to be but they're working on it. Arwen's klingon issues are getting better

Yay Arwen and Strider! It's also good that she didn't really LIKE her walk about. Maybe she won't be too anxious to run, the next time. Although I understand there were scary people around, who exacerbated the problem. But maybe she'll run under the bed next time!

I think it was mainly curiosity. Both of them have been out on harnesses multiple times and for the most part I let them determine where we go. I think Arwen's wild side kind of dictated her behaviour. I'm also fairly certain that the first night when she went over that ridge she was spooked by something, then treed herself and had a hard time getting down. I think that's what the initial 9 day absence was

KK, you asked for it... you've got it! Here's something to cheer you up on a cold winter's day...
"A Trip to Tannin Market" YouTube get's appoximately 1,000 videos uploaded PER HOUR! Because of the traffic, this video took over 11 hours to upload, que, process, and publish. It ain't much, but it's been what you've been wanting to see. I didn't want to attract attention to the fact that I was filming, so the camera was in a black case clipped to the chest strap of my pack. This causes a lot of 'jerky' motion, definitely NOT what you see when shot with a 'steady-cam' mount. But the idea of the market gets across well enough. Some day I'll go back with a steady-cam and do it right, but I'm in no hurry. If you have questions about what it is that you're seeing, just note the time-stamp of the frame and let me know. Enjoy. Sadly, not available in my country since it contains music (which I usually mute anyway).
