Critch, it could well be Shangri-la, or at least Shambala! It had a magical feeling about the place as we wandered around. Such a huge site and almost deserted, as if one had to have special permission to find it. I wish I could go back tomorrow, but some friends want to go boating and I'm committed. Then Thursday we're having an impromptu mid-week fencing meet. So much to do... so little time. Stitchawl |

I'm very tired.
Usually the Saturday before Christmas is the busiest day of the year. But today was even busier! Almost 120 paying customer, plus the ones who didn't buy anything. My feet hurt! But the customers were great today so time flew by. Tomorrow will be a lot quieter (if previous years are anything to go by), a lot of people are busy preparing for Christmas dinner, doing the last of the grocery shopping. Which isn't a bad thing. Half of the shipment that came in on Friday still needs to be checked, tagged and put away. Plus the two shipments that came in yesterday and the one that comes tomorrow, so I won't be bored. I think I deserve a hot chocolate milk now, with a dash of hazelnut syrup. Yum. |

Christmas Day and the Chiang Mai Fencing Club held a special 'epee only' afternoon. We had a visitor join us from the UK, someone training for the Modern Pentathlon. Epee is one of the five events in it. He wasn't bad, but he didn't do too much winning this afternoon. Five fencers, three of us over 65, and we all won our matches against him. (In all fairness to him, we do have a very strong club.)
Maybe I should train for the Modern Pentathlon? ![]() Time to relax with a big mug of tea! Stitchawl |

Finishing up a video I shot of our boating/eating trip yesterday. Two friends and I went to a large reservoir that has some floating houseboat guest houses on it. We hired a boatman to take us out to one of them so we could have lunch there, relax on the water, and just chill... Which we did! Three old men, a lake, a houseboat, and sun. This is how we have lunch in Thailand.
