that's just craziness !! has any of it melted yet ? here we get "giboulées" in march / april sometimes (not so much this year though, which is probably bad news for the coming summer one way or another... i'm afraid either it will be so hot i'll die, or it will be cold and grey and rainy the whole time because we'll have had "summer" for 2 weeks or so, 3 months earlier) but nothing compared to that !

I love duckling season! Here in NC I go to the Sarah P. Duke gardens on weekends - our duckling season should be starting here shortly too!

They have domestic and international varieties of ducks there. Plus a semi-resident population of migrating Canadian geese that stop off every year.

Not about to see those here, it's too early!

Took another pic 5 mins ago, rain has finally stopped and it's supposed to be warm enough this afternoon to melt the snow.


Carole had to cut the flowers before they froze. At least there's a fresh bouquet in the house. Smells nice!

Amazingly it's sunny here in the IceBox. No snow. 0 C, but sunny. I hope that my apple blossoms, who were completely faked out by the warm spring we've had so far weren't killed off again. The last time we had this sort of fake out we go three apples off the tree the whole year. Hownahell can I make apple butter if there's no apples?
