Trying to edit 20 hours of footage into a 10 minute video using incomprehensible software.
Yes, I 'could' use a different software package, like 'Elements' or 'GoPro Studio,' but then I wouldn't really be learning very much about the ins and outs of video editing, and that's as much my goal as the finished reminder of the weekend. Stitchawl |

Rumpelteazer, I can wear wrist watches, but I really don't like to. My solution was to buy a fairly large, very inexpensive watch (made in China, bought at Walmart) two years ago and turn it into a watch I can wear on my belt -- although I usually have it clipped to a belt loop on my jeans. It worked out well, but it had some "rough edges" to it. Still, it's perfectly functional, and I like not having it on my wrist. I'm ready to do it again, and I'm going to try for a nicer looking finish.
EDIT: The second photo doesn't show it, but after I slipped the key ring in and folded the end of the strap down I used a third zip tie to hold it in place. Last edited by cromag; 10-30-2014 at 02:55 AM. |

I desperately wanted an old fashion nurses watch when I was teaching skiing. You know, the kind you pin to your shirt (jacket) that look like they are upside down to anyone casually looking at you, and all you have to do is glance down and lift it with one hand. Obviously I didn't want to pull out my cell phone, and struggling with pulling up a jacket sleeve, possibly removing gloves to see your watch was time consuming and provided a good chance for loss of equipment. Timing for ski school classes was crucial

They used to MAKE tiny watches on a belt clasp. I wore one for years, until my blue jeans stopped having belt loops. (Wearing more of the lycra kinds now, for comfort.)

About 20 years ago belt watches made a comeback, but like many fads, they were cheaply made. In my case, the belt carriers would fall apart pretty quickly. I like this one better, and it's big enough to read.

Watching the horror film 7 Below. And after a couple of minutes I can already tell it won't be a very good film. The music reminds me of horror computer games in the 90s.

Oh! And I'm home now! Picked up the puppy from the sitter, got a few standing hugs from him, he's getting so big! He's snoring away now.
Kitties spent about a half hour stomping on me and using harsh language. They came back a little while ago. Had a wrestle match and are now bathing each other I'm fading quickly |

I might finally get warm. I handed out candy til I couldn't feel my hands, then made the cruising officer for the police dept. take the rest to hand out with his, LOL! I'm sure he thought I was nuts, and someday the department is going to figure out that the crazy person who teases them on Twitter is also the librarian across the street who is in charge of the library's Twitter feed, and I'm never going to hear the end of it. On a related note, it's pretty funny that the most entertaining Twitter feed I read belongs to the local police!
Baby Archer had his checkup yesterday and is doing exceptionally well for a preemie, according to his pediatrician. Buddy-cat also had his checkup today, and his thyroid numbers are back well within normal range, so he's doing better than I thought. |
