I have to ask them how much shipping will cost me. Officially converters from 110 to 230 volts aren't allowed in the Netherlands anymore (nobody can tell why), but we have a couple of them lying around.

I'm now improving with an Ikea bed table, one you can put over your legs, which is white plastic and a bright LED light on batteries. Not ideal but for now it will do.

I have FINALLY (knock on wood) recovered from the worst cold/flu bug in memory! And have some energy again! That bug just sucked all energy from my body & brain!

So I finally have opened the pile of packages I ordered from Lands End before I was flattened by illness - to prepare for an undoubtedly freezing horrible winter coming up I ordered: thermal knit PJs, new sweat pants for nightly walks, and a couple of pair of twill trousers for work - I always browse the Clearance section - plus Lands End is running a 25% discount offer too. And they fit! And are very well made (all made in Vietnam according to their tags).

Laying down with leg elevated. Our town was over run by zombies today. They even had a flash mob. I wasn't up for the dancing but I dressed as kind of a steam punk undertaker and the puppy was pulling his wagon which was done up in black. I went through town hollering "bring out your dead! "
Throat hurts from yelling so much. There are supposed to be pictures somewhere

Sounds fun, if hard on the knee, KK! Nothing so exciting here, I'm just moving everything that's in front of a window, so they can install new windows tomorrow! I'm all out of proportion excited, though, because I'll finally be able to open the front dining room window, which has been stuck closed ever since I moved here.

The abrupt cool/cold weather has affected the cats - Sammie (the 'queen bee' plus size lazy one) was leaping around like a kitten after the feather toy & then whined for a lift onto my lap, Stella was running laps around the living & dining rooms, Goldie (the smallest & most timid one) is now the bold one - jumping onto the top of the kitchen cabinets, onto windowsills, and laps.

A couple of months ago I bought a scented wax warmer, with a halogen lightbulb in it. Upon arrival it didn't work, I thought I would probably be a broken bulb and exchanged it. But when I turned it on it blew. The original lightbulb turned out to be a 220 volt one, with that socket those aren't allowed in the Netherlands, standard is a 12 volt. I reported it, they sent me a new warmer, without lightbulb. I've emailed about 5 times asking how to send the broken one back but never got an answer.

Tonight I pulled it apart, to see if I can exchange the socket for a 220 volt one and found to my great surprise a 110 volt transformer.

Unfortunately it look like a 220 volt socket will be too high. But in the base there might be enough space to fit in a small 12 volt transformer.

My two have been performing the Savanah 500 the last few days. The main problem with that is no matter where I am I seem to be a designated obstacle in the race. The rules seem to state that a pounce on our bounce off of are a required move on every lap

Well yes - it's on page 338 of the official cat handbook!

For Stella, racing up & over the back of my recliner is included in her race course. Of course, sometimes she slips & falls ... onto my head ....

My kitties had a blast with it. They also destroyed it. The tail was last seen in Arwen s mouth leaving the room at a high rate of speed

Stella loved it - and destroyed it .... she would just jump on top of the fabric cover and chew the moving arm through it while rabbit kicking with her hind legs ....
But she had a blast while it lasted ..

I've almost finished putting the pictures of my trip to Newcastle in my vacation album. I just have to embellish the final page and slide it in page protector. It makes me sad, because it was so much fun to do.

I'm going to order prints of the pictures I took in Dublin two years ago next week. I'm now trying to decide if I'm going to work on it straight away or if I'm going to save that project until my week away next month, which is just after the crafts fair.
