After kicking 2020 to the curb with some cheap, and rather nasty, spumante (that was accidentally layed down among some jam in the fruit-cellar 20 years ago), I decided to try and bribe 2021 with something a little better. I chose Ardbeg Uigeadail for the job. Cheers!

Excellent choice! My favorite Ardbeg variety. Have you tried Ardbeg Wee Beastie yet?

I've not yet. I'm hearing fairly mixed reviews on it. Granted: a lot of the negative ones are based on the fact that it's a 5yr that's not much cheaper than the 10yr. Not that I'd pass on it if I ran into it somewhere.

It's a 5 year old that is not so much peaty, as sea salt and pepper - I was expecting more of a peaty punch from its youth. But quite drinkable.
