Good luck! Do you do the exercises standing up or sitting down ? I'm getting my exercise at work by going down the stairs to the basement. That's where our refectory is, and where I keep all my food in the fridge. So if I want to eat something, I have to go down and then up two flights of stairs

Luckily the new diet is paying off. Lost about 1 kilo in a week and a half!

I've been eating a little too much over the past week. Three birthday cakes in a week will do that. (My youngest is now 15!)

Ah, to be 15 again ... What a great age. Puberty. Pimples. Discovering the other sex. Driving my parents crazy.

I hope they were good cakes!

Thank you.
Standing up, some time I hold me against the wall, or to a chair.

So you have a refectory! Whow. You would not believe where my imagination is running and about what ...

I think 2 flights of stairs isn't enough to burn down all the energy in a snack. how about you keeping food on the highest story

My office is on the highest story. Which is the first floor There's about 70 people in our building (2 people per office), so we don't need that much space.

Seriously, it depends on the snack. I eat one bowl of yoghurt (about 50 calories) or 1 piece of fruit (between 50 and 70 calories). Walking to the fridge downstairs probably won't burn all those calories, but I like to think it helps a little

Tim and i are stuck in the plateau from hell. We have tried all of the tips and tricks. Last week at my sister's birhday dinner, we decided to eat whatever we wanted. We got the unlimited ribs, and sweet tater fries, etc. The next morning, i had lost the first pound since Feb 4. Whatever!

We are seeing the loss in our clothes, even if not on the scale. I look like a circus full of elephants has moved out of my pants. And my bat wings have tightened up nicely.

As for fitness, i am walk/running 3 miles now at the track. Still doing water aerobics 1 or 2 times a week, and inthe water is where i do my upper body and arm toning. And since spring is in full blast, we are hiking. Did a 9 mile trail last week through beautiful Alabama woods last week, with heavy boots, and it was such fun!

My number 1 issue was diabetes, and that is going great. Have become sensitive to insulin for the first time in the 2000's, and must skip a shot altogether on pool days or else risk hyperglycemia. So it is all good, even if the scale does not show it.

You are inspiring to me! I'm determined to get myself in better shape this year, now that I've got the recent unpleasantness taken care of. I had set myself an initial goal of losing 20 lbs (started in mid Nov), and as of right now I've lost 18. I need to lose probably another 10 or 15 lbs, but I think I'll just keep on doing what I'm doing, foodwise. I'm trying to not eat processed foods, and have added a lot of fresh vegetables and whole grains to my diet. I walked around a couple of blocks yesterday morning, and then hiked an easy (and level!) short trail at the park in the afternoon. I walked around 3 blocks this morning, and probably could have gone further except my legs started getting a bit "heavy". I go back tomorrow for my 3 week followup to my surgery, and although I don't think she will absolutely release me for all activity, I think she will loosen up a lot. I woke up feeling great, and not sore at all, this morning. Spring has sprung!
