What others have already said. Did the converter linked above work for you? |

The reason the new firmware is not yet out is that it's not Monday.

I can't use the second converter, because Polish language doesn't use Cyrillic alphabet; but I'll try the recode way soon. Thank you for the information
![]() EDIT: Unfortunately, the Windows version of recode doesn't seem to be available for download anywhere - the download link just points to download page of GnuWin projects, and recode is not on there. Googling for it I encountered only some threads asking for it as well. I'll have to look for some other tool to do the job. EDIT2: I managed to download the recode tool for Windows from here: http://eloquence.marxmeier.com/sdb/html/899906321.html I haven't figured it out yet, though... it doesn't seem to support Windows codepage 1250, which is most common encoding for Polish books ( see here: http://www.borut.com/library/s_1250.htm ) Last edited by Krystian Galaj; 08-12-2009 at 05:53 AM. |

I managed to find some other tool that converts cp1250 to iso-8859-2, and I'm now trying to convert my html document with recode. It seems to try to convert the file as if it was a text file, and I can't make it ignore parts of HTML syntax :/
EDIT: recode doesn't convert Polish letters into HTML entities at all, it just messes up HTML file by converting < and > characters. Last edited by Krystian Galaj; 08-12-2009 at 06:25 AM. |

Ok, I decided to stop looking for unusable software, and instead found conversion table between Polish characters and HTML entities - and replaced them, one by one, by hand, in text editor.
And Cybook does indeed support Polish letters in HTML, when served to it in this manner. I stand happily corrected ![]() Here's the table, if it's useful to anyone: http://mynthon.net/howto/-/html%20-%...20entities.txt Sorry for interrupting... so where's this new firmware again? :P |

Erm.. computers are supposed to automate such stuff! Check the attached file - has win32 binary and delphi sources for a simple polish converter. Didn't have time to test it much but the first polish webpage I found came through ok. |

When will the firmware be available that supports FOLDER VIEW? I am so frustrated with my Cybook Gen III because of this. It was not too big of a deal when I had 10 books, but I cannot deal with having hundreds of books on my Cybook with no folder view! How can they not be working on this day and night until this is corrected. Any ETA on this?
