I took the plunge and I'm working out a few kinks. 1. I recall the ScreenSavers hack showed a little message on the lockscreen, does the built-in do that and if so, how? 2. Haven't quite found the installation instructions for usbnetworklite, still looking. <- mrpackages? Homer Last edited by Homer_S; 01-17-2025 at 03:00 PM. |

Alternatively, if you mainly use KOReader then the sleep image can be configured to display a message. This only works when putting the device to sleep from within KOReader. |

@BionicGecko Hello,
Could you try if Collection management with Calibre works on the last PW ? It needs Python and Librarian Sync packages. Thanks |

I have Kindle Scribe 1st gen version 5.16.6.1.
I know it is too late for LanguageBreak, which gave opportunity to be in managed mode (https://github.com/notmarek/Language...g-managed-mode ) - I don't want to enter demo and resell it. This makes it possible to use functionality of Kindle without registering again. Is it possible to do this with WinterBreak? I was thinking about: - WinterBreak - hotfixes - downgrade to 5.16.2.x.x - unjailbreak it - LanguageBreak What do you think? |

WinterBeeak is not possible without registering.
There is also no point in doing two different JB methods when first one works. |

I already registered it, but I turned on ariplane mode. I don't want to have any account connected.
This is one of my priorities. So could it work downgrading after winterbreak and reverting jailbreak? |

I got to the point where MRPI was installed, but ;log mrpi wouldn't run anything
![]() So I used the following advice: copying the Update_KUALBooklet_hotfix_*_install.bin file to the root of your Kindle when connected to your PC, and then go to Settings > Update Your Kindle, then resume from step 5. Unfortunately ;log mrpi still won't run anything. But after the previous step, the KUAL option appeared in my Library (after copying Koreader including it), but nothing from it can be run. Any idea? |

Kindle Scribe 1st gen - version 5.17.2
After copying files, restarting and clicking on Store (and disabling airplane mode) it just shows me books, there is no WinterBreak book available. Used 1.4.1 WinterBreak version. To unpack it I am using twice 7zip on Windows. Any idea what is wrong? |

WinterBreak Jailbreak Not Triggering on Kindle Oasis 10th Gen (5.17.1.0.3)
Hi all,
I’ve been trying to jailbreak my Kindle Oasis (10th Generation) using the WinterBreak tool, but I’m unable to trigger the jailbreak. Here are my details and what I’ve tried: Model: Kindle Oasis (10th Gen) Serial Prefix: G000 WL05 Firmware: 5.17.1.0.3 (4351880007) Downloaded the WinterBreak package from Kindle Modding. Copied the following files to my Kindle: Safely ejected the Kindle and rebooted it. nd enabled Wi-Fi when prompted Expected to see the WinterBreak icon or prompts, but nothing happened. Is the firmware version 5.17.1.0.3 (4351880007) still compatible with the WinterBreak jailbreak? Could I have missed a step in the process? Should I attempt a downgrade? If so, what’s the safest way to do that? Are there alternative methods to jailbreak my device if this firmware version is patched? Thanks so much for your help! Cheers! |
