Ignore previous request, I have found your link, and have downloaded image successfully. I have some spare 32gb cards so will try it on them. Many thanks. I have also a kobo touch that the micro usb plug has come off. I plan to solder a new one on. Do you know if the on board 2gb card can be upgraded?

There were three versions of the Touch with model numbers N905, N905B and N905C. The N905B and N905C had internal SD cards and they could be upgraded. From memory, people reported success with 16GB cards. 32GB cards might work but I don't remember if anyone tried them.

From memory, the Glo was sensitive to the actual card. Some 32GB cards worked and some didn't. Unfortunately, I have no memory of which worked. I think all 16GB cards were OK. But, I would have expected that if you got to this step, then it would work.

You could try a manual factory reset. There have been reports of issues after using the images and doing a factory reset seems to fix them. The instructions are on https://help.kobo.com/hc/en-us/artic...-your-Kobo-Glo.

If it is the battery, you should be able to do the setup with the device plugged in. The next step is when it prompts about whether to use WiFi or the PC for setup.

A possibility is that the bezel is not aligned properly. The Glo uses IR touch. If the screen is not sitting in the bezel properly, the IR beams won't reach the sensors. You shouldn't have needed to disassemble that part to get to the SD card, but, just in case, you should check.

And, for when you get to the WiFi part, it won't work. Kobo had to remove the older security protocols from their servers and the factory firmware in the Glo can no longer connect to the servers. You can either use the Kobo desktop application to do the setup, or manually install a newer firmware. If you do the latter, you should use at least version 3.19. After that, it will connect to WiFi and let you do the setup.

Hi,
I have a problem with my Kobo Clara HD reader. It won't start up since 1 week. The LED only blick once and then nothing ... I tried the manual reset but it doesn't work.
Could someone send me an image of his Kobo Clara HD please ?

Thank you so much for your Clara HD image. I've also been able to modify the SN number in order to make it correspond to my Clara HD. Thanks to you I saved the price of a new Kobo reader.
