Nah, never cut down ... just seriously trimmed back. They were starting to look like crepe myrtle bushes rather than trees.

Thanks, pshrynk. She was a really good person. She had her flaws (like the time she tried to hire a hit man to make her first husband go "away;" but, in her defense he was a seriously deranged jerk) then again, she did a LOT of work for Habitat for Humanity in the last few years. Most decidedly NOT looking for the King of the Pandaborgs (or Pandorgs ... or whatever). I just put the primer coat on the cabinets in the pantry.

And .... I think (maybe), there may be a little surprise party for me tonight. Everyone has been asking me about what my "favorite foods" are ... and tonight is the weekly block party. I could be wrong, in which case I still get a free meal ... so it's a win-win situation.

It's never worked for me in the past. I'm thinking of setting bear traps all around the pantry. No ... that won't work, I'll just have a lot of really pissed off bears on my hands.

Maybe move the cat feeders and water fountain from the pantry into the master bath and close off the pantry until I'm finished?? That might work. Maybe.

Unless the little monsters develop some mean doorknob skills while I'm out at the party tonight.
