They've got a really nice "special edition" leather Origami Case on Amazon. (Natural leather... it looks NICE to me!) I really like it a lot but, good grief, where does Amazon get off charging so much for their cases?

On a separate note... I got an Omoton case. I was trying to get my Kindle back out of the case, prying away with a kitchen knife, when I suddenly realized that I needed to be a little bit careful or I could crack my Kindle's screen!

What's the preferred method to get your Kindle out of one of those cases with the snap in plastic frame?

I had the same thing tonight, I used a knife to get in between the case and the Kindle but as much as I like the Omoton case I need to decide what case I prefer once and for all. I can't be switching between multiple cases. Of my five cases the Omoton is the hardest to get out of.

The pink is a rather muted shade of pink (it looks that way in the product listing on Amazon). The royal purple is the best color they have (IMHO).

I don't get the citron and slate grey. The citron is ugly and the slate grey is a boring as you can get.

Pink is pretty in any shade. I had both pink and purple for my Paperwhites. Now I have red for the Voyage and purple for the Fire HD6.

I'm liking the Origami covers more and more. I still don't like the power button on the back!

I quite like the Origami case too, much to my surprise. I like to change cases so it's nice to have at least one that doesn't take a crowbar to remove.

I'm no good at describing colors but mine is pink and I really like it. I think it's much closer to raspberry than to Pepto-Bismol, which is a very good thing.

Oh dear... Usually you can pop out one of the corners and then the rest is easier. I might just have to ask Omoton if I can do it without risking damage to the Kindle.

I ordered a HotCool cover. It is comparable to the Amazon Paperwhite cover in appearance and has the sleep-wake function as well. Received it some time ago. Voyage arriving today (12/4) although it was not scheduled to arrive until the 12th. Wahoo! Can't wait!!

Is the "special edition" case something different to the normal leather Origami case? I have that, and like it very much indeed. I'm a big fan of real leather cases - I like the feel and the smell of them .

But it's worth every penny (only $60 in the US).

So the shade shown on Amazon is correct. That's good to know that the shades in the listing match what you get.

I should have been brave and bought that on day one, but crying over spilt milk won't help me now. I'll have to wait and see what Santa brings

It's designed just like a normal Origami Leather case, except the leather looks like it came from a WWII bomber's jacket. It's the most macho Kindle case I've ever seen. So, naturally, I want one very badly!
