Installing the original Tropico game, including expansion packs. It's on sale at GOG this weekend for $2.39! Hopefully it'll keep me busy until Tropico 5 is released next month.

I just finished paying for my sins. All the snow and ice we had this winter, plus all the salt used in my area and the fact that I was ill for over a month led me not to walk our dog for quite a while.

So instead of picking up his "business" one "job" at a time, it just kept collecting, getting covered with snow, and collecting some more. Eventually, the snow stopped, and started to melt. Well, instead of picking up the pieces as they reappeared (cause I was still weak from my illness, after all ), I waited, and waited, and waited until everything melted, and my back yard was a swamp. A very disgusting swamp.

I now have five bags of very moist "doings" to get rid of, some very gross boots to clean, and a solemn vow to never, ever let it happen again (I'm teaching the dog to use the toilet)!

That is what we say every year and it never happens. We do get it before the first big rain, mainly because we know the Little Man wants to play outside. Normally we are looking at many, many, many bags though.

At a party I attended years ago a fellow was going to use the bathroom when the homeowner's cat beat him to it. The cat did his business, then flushed the toilet before it left. He was astounded.

I've heard of many toilet using cats, not so much on the flushing though. The second time I was stationed in Germany, the spousal unit was gone and I was home alone with the kids, an infant and a four year old. I awoke at 0200 to the sound of someone piddling in the toilet. That got me right the f*ck out of bed! I was watching someone else's cat in my home and had my own cats. When that cat parent came home and was queried, this was not a behaviour known at home, and not something repeated at home. Nearest we could figure, said feline did not want to share litter boxes even though they both had their own.

So true, but I've never let it get this bad before. Train the LM to help out now, while he's young - if only as a "spotter" now and "picker" later. If I ask the Spawn for help, all I get are shouts of "Eeww! Gross!".

I'll gladly wait my turn if it means I don't have to stoop-n-scoop afterwards. Having a wife and two daughters means I'm last in line anyway...

Planning a trip to the Keukenhof next week, probably on Wednesday. I'll be going on my own for the first time, before my sister always joined me (she's got to work). On the one hand it's fun to go with someone else, on the other hand I can do whatever I please and spend as much time photographing flowers and art as I want.

Drying off after my after-dinner walk -- it was spritzing rain when I started, and showering by the time I cleared the last turn towards home - fortunately I remembered to wear my rain jacket ... quite refreshing actually ...

Watching the season premiere of warehouse 13 which kind of makes me sad as it always went hand in hand with Eureka. I'm still sass and confused that it was cancelled.

I'm such a geek

It won't let me edit but of course sass is sad.

I've been clenching my teeth like mad for awhile now, reasons unknown, but just figured it out awhile ago as I realized I had a horrendous headache
