About to cycle to the garden centre. The weather's lovely today but still a bit too cold to go to the pancake house and have lunch outside so the garden centre (with a small indoor restaurant/café) is a good alternative.
After that I'm going to get a marker pad, I bought a set of Letraset Promarkers yesterday but the colouring book I've got hasn't got the right paper. So I want to cut out the drawings I like, scan them and print them on marker paper. |

I'm fishing. And I just caught a big one! Seriously, felt like my arm popped out when it pulled.

I wish I knew what it was going to do today, so far the weather has been completely erratic. Torrential rains that have kind of been mixed in with brilliant bouts of sunshine. I had to run errands and then work all of yesterday, most of which was completely horrid anyway. I've plenty to do both inside and out, but purr therapy and reading seem to be a fine option as well. It's not yet eight, maybe a bit more reading then I'll get going.
I guess I'm feeling a little pressure knowing that surgeries are soon on the horizon ![]() |

It's currently 50° F and that's as high as the temperature is going for today. It's all downhill from here, until we reach 30° F tomorrow morning. The reason I'm posting that here, instead of the weather thread, is that what I'm currently doing right now is wishing I could take a nice, warm shower, but my son painted the living room yesterday, and my wife has the windows open to air out the paint fumes, and I have little wish to step out of a shower into 50° temps.

So what are you doing RIGHT NOW?
There's a weather thread? Haven't come across it.

It's here. It's titled, "What meteorological phenomenon (phenomena) affects you this day ?" Why there's a space between "day" and the question mark, I don't know.

After freezing off my tail feathers whilst gassing up the car, I returned home & vacuumed to warm up - which always induces the cats to vanish. Anointing the scratching boxes with catnip makes them reappear ... Sammie & Stella are now happily stoned. Goldie is one of those cats completely unaffected by nip.

Earlier this week I bought my first set of "real" markers (followed quickly by me buying a second set and ordering a third set online). Today I've been experimenting with them. Blending is still hard because even if I have several in the same colour group the colours are not close (pastel, mid-tone and dark). But I'm starting to get the hang of layering/shading with one colour.
I've also been looking for storage solutions. I've seen a lot of cool and practical ideas, but for now I decided my next marker-related purchase will be an Artbin marker box so they're also easy to take with me. |
