Seven of the eight titles in Lea Wait's cozy Mainely Needlepoint (like you couldn't figure out it was cozy from the series name ) have dropped to $1.99, perhaps in honor of the publication of the ninth title later this month. Oddly enough, the first title, Twisted Threads, is only sort of on sale right now, at $3.14, but if you want to read in order, it goes on sale at $1.99 pretty often, so just keep your eyes open. This series is published by Kensington, whose titles are coupon/VIPable at Kobo US.

Links for them all (including a couple of strays)...

Not sure whether to post here or in general, but it is a mystery. Cadfael mystery by Ellis Peters is $1.99 US Amazon. No match at Kobo or B&N at this time.

Definitely in mysteries! That's cheaper than the $2.99 I paid on a sale, a while back. But CAUTION: I own this already and Amazon didn't tell me so. They must have changed something about the book or ASIN number. Make sure you don't already have this.

Open Road (and associated Mysterious Press) do this a LOT...you can basically never assume with them that you don't have a title, even if it doesn't show as previously purchased. It will show if you search by either author or title in "Manage My Content and Devices", but that makes you have another tab/window open to check, which is sort of a pain.

Luckily for me, between the big Open Road freebie-thon of three (???) years ago, and just picking up Open Road titles as they have been on sale over the years, I've got almost all of the ones I want, short of them adding (or me discovering) a new author or something like that. So I'm in the mode of just looking for a very few titles, which I have on a list. But I still check every time!

Looks like today is Tom Clancy day at Kindle US, with 13 of 15 titles in the Daily Deal being various Clancy titles at $4.99 each. Mostly these are normally pretty expensive, but, per eReaderIQ, several have gone on sale very briefly - and rarely - in the past for $1.99, so up to you as to whether you want to bite at $4.99.

Personally, I really liked the early Clancy titles (Hunt for Red October, Red Storm Rising - my favorite, several of the early Jack Ryan books), but once Clancy started putting a lot more of his personal politics, with which I seriously disagree, in his books, I was done.

However, YMMV, and so here's the link for the Daily Deal: https://www.amazon.com/b/ref=KCdls_b..._i=11552285011

Season 2 of Amazon's TV series "Jack Ryan" just came out so I guess that is why. Five bucks is a bit rich for books I already own though. I read most of the early Jack Ryan books back in the day along with "Red Storm Rising" but none of the rest.
I wonder why Larry Bond never gets credited for co-writing RSR with Clancy?
