Each volume is a different color..."The Blue Fairy Book", The Yellow Fair Book", etc.

Lovely stories.

You'll definitely like it then. Ebert has also published two books with essays on '100 best films'. They're good too, but not quite as funny, of course.

I've never seen Ebert, but I like his writing style.

Oh, that is on my overflowing Amazon wishlist!

I just bought "Eggs Benedict Arnold" in paperback (not available in ebook) by Laura Childs.

Just finished the new Anne Tyler - Noah's Compass -- It was good kept my interest, I particularly identified with the main character. Certainly not the best book I've ever read, but I did enjoy it a lot let's say 3/5

Just finished Under the Dome. It was good with great character development but lacked the atmosphere that King managed to write into The Stand

Next up, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

I'd love to, but I have no idea. It frustrates me no end, too.

Apparently it is not yet available as an eBook. But nobody mentioned this to the Random House web developer.

Apologies for replying to my own post, but...

There was a blurb/review of Noah's Compass in the paper today.

http://www.denverpost.com/books/ci_14242282

and it got me thinking/rethinking it and how it all fit together. I must say it was perhaps a bit too subtle for me. I didn't realize the implications of a few of the scenes until after reading this review and thinking about it some more. I even have to go back and find what I now realize was a pivotal scene and in the process found a typo which is itself a bit telling. The grandson named Jonah in this scene is at one point called Noah by the author -- instead of "Jonah asked" it was "Noah asked"-- I suppose it is possible this was intentional, but I think it's just a typo that slipped through. Still it was in the midst of what was a pivotal scene on which the title was clearly based.

Very interesting..

(one sucky thing was that I could not on my Sony 505 search for what I knew was there and had to convert/copy the book to my Kindle2 to do the search. ). Maybe time for a Sony 900.

I have pretty much talked to myself all my life, according to ex-wives and coworkers. Why should posting on a forum be any different.

Glad to bring some levity to such a serious topic.

And sorry for the delay, I was out buying my new Sony 900 so I could do searches.
