Hugh Laurie's three part adaptation of Agatha Christie's "Why Didn't They Ask Evans?" on BritBox. Enjoyed it immensely.

In the middle of Train to Busan. Not a zombie fan (outside of the Resident Evil movies) but this is keeping my interested.

Just two more nights of musicals left. So far I've seen:
Little Shop of Horror: okay, not something I'll watch again I think Tommy: I still love it, Ann-Margret is more beautiful than I remember and Oliver Reed and Keith Moon are creepy. I didn't mind it that Roger Daltrey went shirtless for most of the second half of the movie Labyrinth: okay, I loved David Bowie, but like LSH not something I'll watch again any time soon Chicago: very enjoyable, however, I still get mildly annoyed with Renee Zellweger's voice Repo! A Genetic Opera: uhm, is it good? No. Did I enjoy it? Yes, mostly. I loved Sarah Brightman, but then you also have Paris Hilton (not too bad, but still). Tonight my randomizer app has chosen The Rocky Horror Picture Show. After that there are a couple of musical left I really want to see; Burlesque and Quadrophenia. So I might watch two musical either tonight or tomorrow night. |

Pagan Peak S1, on Prime until end of June, is another decent version of The Bridge, a joint investigation of a body placed on the German-Austrian border, but with a different story line.

I finished my musical week with The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Quadrophenia. I thought I'd never seen Quadrophenia but some scenes were vaguely familiar, especially the final scene at the cliffs. But I couldn't remember the story. I enjoyed the movie, but it is another one I probably won't watch again.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show was fun. Although Luna was annoyed with me singing along. This week is 90s week. Although I think I have enough movies to fill two weeks. Tonight I'm going to start with Leon: The Professional. For a short time my sister was a bit obsessed with this film, but it must be 25 years since I've last seen it. |

Watched Catching Milat on Prime, a pretty good dramatization of the hunt for Australian serial killer Ivan Milat.

This week is 90s week. So far I've seen:
Leon: The Professional: okay, I didn't remember anything from the movie except what the synopsis on IMDB said. The Substitute: fairly similar to Dangerous Minds (which came out a year later), though with a lower budget. The fight scene about half way through the movie where the main character and a baddie fight hand to hand is really bad. It used to be one of my favourite movies. It's still an entertaining revenge movie Independence Day: I've never seen it in full. I know my mother and sister started watching it on 9/11 but switched it off when the news broke of the terror attacks. I thought it was okay, good enough to want to see the (lower rated) sequel. From Dusk Till Dawn: this one didn't age well. The second half is okay, it's mostly mindless violence, but in the first half there were several very cringe-y moments. I must admit Tom Savini's crotch gun still makes me smile. I might give the tv series a try. Since it's still really warm and I won't be able to sleep for a long while I decided to watch a second movie tonight. The wheel landed on Candyman. Which I've never seen, a first this week. I've decided to not do a themed week next week. Catch up on some series. After that I spend two weeks watching movies from my Netflix watch list. That's been getting out of hand again. |

For me, only Monroe made the early episodes worth watching. Fortunately the producers reacted quickly to improve the show by tweaking the cast and characters to add some heart (e.g. Rosalee) and humor - like the revolting process Adalind had to go through to get her powers back.
