I have a frozen Aura Edition 2, that doesn't factory reset. Would a reflash of the SD card help? Can someone share instructions and the image with me please? Thanks a million

Is it the same image for both mark6 and 7 hardware ?

No, they use different images. The only way to tell is from the serial number. The first version has a "0" in the 7th character of the serial number and the second version has a "2".

Would like you to ask if someone could please share the image for an Aura 2 with S/N N236780577893?

Are there any special instructions needed to upload the image to the SD card?

You need to write the image to the card. You can look at URL="https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=209122"]Memory Upgrade Mod Guide[/URL] for some ideas. That is for the Glo, but the basic steps and tools are the same.

It has an 8GB SD card instead of the 4, not sure if that matters?

I don't know if that helps to work out which of the two Aura Edition 2's the device is. The specs say 4GB for both. I don't know if the later one is more likely to have an 8GB card. The way to tell is from the serial number. The first version has a "0" in the 7th character of the serial number and the second version has a "2".

I don't know if the serial number is on the board anywhere. But, it should start with the model number, N236. If you have it open, there are other ways to tell. The CPU for the second version is the i.MX 6SLL. There may be a date somewhere. The version 2 was released in late 2017. Anything after that will be version 2, anything before it, version 1.

This is weird, my replies keep disappearing. Hope this one gets through.

Love it when they make multiple versions within an edition
I found a date on the inside but it´s september 2017 so that´s not super clear. The CPU isnt the i.MX though, and I just found the serial number (on the side): RN236*601****. So strictly speaking it´s the 8th character but it def is a 0.

So Aura, 2nd edition, version 1
