I don't need to see it. I've wanted something like this for a long time. I'll have to wait till Christmas though.
I think it's neat they did focus groups while developing it. I only wish they had added cloud services. One review claims no browser. I don't know if that's true or not. I'm hoping it's still there. Sent from my XT1528 |

From the reviews I've seen, the light has so dominated things that none of them have checked for any other changes other than Overdrive. Of course, I suspect Nate might be the only one who would know enough to see anything new. |

Thank you David. I'm relieved the browser is still there. I use the browser to sideload from Dropbox which is a pain to do but I don't have access a lot to an actual computer.

![]() Don't get me started on the Paperwork involved ![]() Complying with taxes on Internet Sales is an unreasonable burden on a small business. US Congress will not come up with a Uniform Internet Sales Tax Law (and single reporting form) to make this doable. |

The main way I get books on my Aura is via Dropbox. That works fine on my Aura but either my Mini or my Glo (I forget which and I no longer have them) wasn't able to access Dropbox. Has anyone heard whether the new models browser can access Dropbox?

I've decided to try this reader as soon as it is released in the Netherlands. I've already set up the Kobo plugins in Calibre.
Gecko (a Dutch company) is mostly quick with their covers for new devices, and they mostly get good reviews. I think I'm not going to get the original sleep cover; I don't like the stand feature, as it can make the cover floppy, and €40 is a bit too much. My Kindle has a cover that cost €12 on eBay, and it is still going strong (and I like it, obviously). |

I'm thinking of getting am Oberon cover for it (the Fire HD7 2012 one should fit). I had one of theirs for my Kindle DXG, and they are gorgeous. Expensive, yes, but oh so beautiful...

There was a change on the Dropbox end which means you have to sign in on mobile site and switch to full site (or maybe vice versa, don't use it so I can't remember -- is is discussed in a thread on here somewhere) to make it work. The browser is not likely to be any different between devices with the same firmware version, so unless something changes between current and new firmware across the board there isn't likely to be any change.

I do remember that one of my Kobos, either the Mini or the Glo, and I think it was the Glo but I'm not sure, wouldn't let me download books from Dropbox. I could get to Dropbox and, as I recall, I could log in, but that was all. Or maybe I couldn't log in. I don't remember now.
I use Dropbox for my Kobo Aura all the time. It's awkward and slow but it's easier and faster than connecting it to the computer to transfer the book. I'm not sure I want to get the new Kobo but I may. I want to see reviews and discussions about it before I decide. I'm pretty happy with my Voyage and my Kobo Aura. I gave my Glo to a friend who wasn't able to buy a reader and needed one and I miss it. Barry |
