yes, I did a lot of updates so far, and all worked out.
I also tried downloading the file more than once, in case there was some issue at that point...

Possible bug in the last update?
Hello,
since the last update i'm experiencing this problem with Moon+ reader.
when i push the back button to go from the book i'm reading to the home page, it turns on the backlight most of the times.
it didn't happen before the update.
can you check?

Hello!
After the upgrade 14.10.2014 by pressing BACK light disappears, when pressed repeatedly reappears. This occurs when reading, working with settings. It must be so?

since the update failed, the reader blacks out continuously!
Please help! :-(

I had a similar message as yours when I first tried. The second time all went OK. Two differences:

1) the first time the USB cable was connected. The second time it wasn't.

2) the first time, when the power off screen first appeared, I pressed the on button. The second time I waited patiently. At some time, the machine rebooted by itself.

Just in case, try removing the external sd card before updating.

Did you try downloading the update directly from the ereader's browser? That's what caused me to have failed updates... Once I loaded over USB from a PC it worked.

By the way, I got my replacement T68. Touches feel a bit better. Can't be sure if it's "fixed" though. And there's another minor (hardware) issue with my new unit. Looking into that too

Latest update solved the issue with Neo Reader forgetting where in a pdf you were reading, when closing and reopening it.

In my opinion few changes in neo pdf reader makes it perfect:
1. Column fitted mode like ezpdf reader
2. Adding annotation tool bar visible always in reading pane like repligo
3. Able to see annotations made in other apps visible in reflow mode at perfect locations
4.scribble possible in reflow mode

Thank you guys for all the good advices.
Eventually I solved the problem in a very unexpected way...
I let the update file (the same that didn't work out before) downloaded from ereader browser on my device and tried to install it when I was not at home, therefore with an other wifi network.
So it worked. This is so odd, 'cause I really tried a dozen times with the same procedure and worked only when I was connected to an other wifi...

In the latest update for M96 (2014-10-13), the ability to perform a full page refresh with a long press of the Home/Menu button is gone...
