OTOH, I remember buying several cases of 1961 and 1963 Premier Gran Cru Bourdeaux, including Lafite, Latour, and Margaux. Just invest in a good one. I will never forget when I graduated from a $15 Mr. Coffee to an $85 Cuisinart. I had been drinking burnt or unevenly brewed coffee for years without knowing it.

I agree, a good coffee maker is a definite difference! Though you don't actually need an expensive coffee maker to make good coffee, but if you want it automated, you do. I admit, however, that we've finally succumbed to a pod machine. It's not that it makes a perfect cup. It's just that it never makes a _bad_ one, assuming the coffee itself is good. And I confess I'm less fussy about my coffee than I am about my tea. I have a Zojirushi hot water dispenser (updated model linked) for my tea, and I love it.

I'm gonna get an expresso maker when I get the chance and leave it at Student Veterans of UNM so anybody could use it. There isn't enough room here for another coffee maker (my roommate has one), let alone an expresso maker. I miss drinking shots of expresso... a few a day.

Starbucks French Roast.

I've been making my morning cuppa by the pour-over method for decades and now I'm au courant. The investment is negligible, also; no need to wait on a coffee maker.

I also have a Nespresso which I enjoy for the evening (or occasionally an afternoon hit), but the amounts are entirely inadequate to my morning fuel requirements.
