It might depend on settings. Remember, which options did you change?

No such behaviour here either, with the latest alpha version.

I am not having any battery problems either using 2.1.01alpha on PRS-350, but I almost always put my reader to sleep manually when I'm done reading rather than let it go to sleep automatically.
Question: What's more stable -- the official releases on the PRS+ site (because, well, it's "official") or the nightly builds on Analogus's site because it has the latest fixes? I am eager to get the fix for issue #323 (Rev #ca0ed35764fb), but I am a big chicken when it comes to technical stuff. Thanks, as always, to the PRS+ team (and Analogus for nightly builds)! |

Nightly builds rev. 50 (with solved issue #323) online for all models. Custom-build for 350 includes this fix too. A. |

Thank you Analogus for updated nightly build. I always get nervous installing new stuff, but in this case, I think I will give it a try.

No, I have had no chance to manage it
![]() Tried it with tortoise. I made a clone of PRS+ online with the functions of GoogleCode and downloaded it with tortoise onto my PC. No problem so far. But I struggled to UPLOAD altered or new files from this repository. Tortoise just says 'no altered files to upload'. Uploading files one after the other is too much work because there are lots of them... But: As a workaround I could upload altered files/repository onto my simple website tonight. A. |

Analogus,
right-click on your local PRS+ clone - folder, hg commit... ; enter a commit message, commit then again right-click, tortoise HG -> Synchronize (set security to "fingerprint" (and fetch one) or "no host validation") -> push to remote repository |

Ok, thanks.
What I've made: 1) Created a clone from PRS+ online with help of Google-command 2) Downloaded this clone with tortoise onto my PC in a new repository-folder 3) Altered/overwrited files in this folder with my contributions 4) Deleted all unaltered files 5) commit 6) synchronized --> looks good so far So all ALTERED/ADDITIONAL files can be found here: http://code.google.com/r/josefmichal.../source/browse A. |

Thanks,
this should comply with GPL-Licence, but it wouldn't do any harm to keep the unaltered files from the main-project, so one can build direct from your clone. |

Hello PRS+ Team (and users).
So my battery problem resolved by itself. I went back to the official Firmware (by switching the power on while its connected to the PC) and I fully charged my Reader. After that I switched to the PRS+ Firmware again and no more battery problem... Quite a strange "bug" but now it works like intended. Sorry for the hassle and thank you again for this awesome work ![]() |

Kartu, have you any idea when to incorporate this modification on the project?
Agreeed. I'll push linux binaries stuff soon, and let's see how easy it is to compile http://id3lib.sourceforge.net/ (there might be better alternatives for linux). If we can easily turn that into a small utility, it might be worth it. Cross compiling well structured projects with littile to no dependencies was easy so far. Kartu or it's better for the momment to incorporate the modification made by Ben I understood the request was for an overlay that would be seen on the "SONG" screen that displayed the extended tags of the song being played. I have attached what I came up with. Using this addon I was able to find that "genre" and "track number" are available for display. But I know that there are a lot of other optional tags that mp3s can have but that the Sony software does not extract. So I don't think it is worth pursuing, unless we were to write our own tag extracting executable which would be far more complicated than it is worth! The other problem I found was that I could not get the overlay to display. I couldn't get win = this.container.getWindow(); to work. I also tried win = this.getWindow(); Sincerely, Ben. Since I could not find a way to draw on top of the "Now Playing" screen, there is no point in compiling id3lib at the moment. We still wouldn't be able to output extended tag information. So, as far as I am concerned, I don't want to do anything more on this. After all, my Sony Reader is mostly used for reading. I very rarely (if ever) listen to audio files... Sincerely, Ben. |

Thank you, Analogous. I've got your icons (the other files I have to look at), that I've coveted for some time
