So hubby and I both got Covid. He tested positive on January 23rd, I never took a test, but was sick a few days before him, starting on January 16th. Neither of us got that sick, just bad cold type symptoms. He ran low grade fevers off and on, I only did the first day I didn't feel goo.
But...we can't seem to shake it completely. I felt pretty normal the middle of this week, now today am feeling "off" again, and had a low fever this morning. Dang this thing is a challenge. Hubby finally is feeling like himself...he's been very tired and dealing with brain fog. I had a funeral to go to tomorrow, and food to take for the lunch after, but now feel like I shouldn't go. We got another 8 inches of snow as well, so hubby has been working from home again the last 2 days. We both were vaccinated but not boosted, we planned on getting the boosters once we got moved, but ended up getting sick right after. We are glad we didn't get super sick, but whew, I'm tired of feeling crappy. |

The snow is getting very old....we've have 19-20" inches since January 17th. That's a lot for this area. |

And the microwave just blew...2 years old. It sounded funny, then smelled funny, so hubby unplugged it.
Yikes. |

Yes, tomato meat sauce. We'll cook the pasta, add it to the sauce, then bake it, and take it. They will also stick it in the oven at the church for a bit before lunch is served.

Should be fine. The primary mode of transmission is airborne, not surface.
I'm sorry to hear you're having a slow recovery. Don't push yourself -- long Covid is no joke, and you can get it even if you haven't been sick enough to go to the hospital. |

I'm just very thankful my 91 year old mom has been fine. The day I think I caught it I was running her around. She is as healthy as a horse, never been in the hospital. Like the energizer bunny, she just goes and goes. |

I'm annoyed with myself.
I'm on vacation and for today I had planned cheese fondue for dinner. My small fondue set uses a small tealight to keep the fondue warm. I just checked and the tea light is as good as used up. Chances are that when I light it it'll burn for a couple of minutes before fizzling out. I'm certain that the on-park supermarket sells tea lights, but I should have checked this morning. The stores probably still open, but I've already been out twice, once to get bread rolls for breakfast and lunch and once to the reception to exchange the broken scissors. And I can't be bothered to go out again. So tonight will be Taco Tuesday (I had planned tacos for tomorrow) and I'll pick up the tea lights when I go get breakfast tomorrow. |

Hehe...or rather tea-hee. My wife has made such a recurring habit of forgetting one key ingredient for whatever she's making, and having to run out for it while cooking, it's become a running gag. The blessing and the curse of living where everything is so easily accessable. It's easy to be become lackadaisical about it. Where she grew up, it was a 20 minute drive each way for the nearest place to get milk. |

I'm royally ticked off - Michelle Pfeiffer was NOT nominated for an Oscar for French Exit - how could this performance be ignored? I don't think the movie got any nominations - it was brilliant!
