Balmoral Blend tea this morning. I'm feeling seriously stressed and sad -- we lost our cat, Bootsie, yesterday. She was a rescue from the first months we moved here, abandoned at the local post office.

That is AWFUL. Our baby was a parking lot rescue 12 years ago. You have all the condolences I am able to give.

Sorry to hear that Charlie. Our two cats are from the local cat rescue centre; I'd hate for anything to happen to either of them.

I've always remembered the line from Stranger in a Strange Land, "Jubal had long forsworn pets, because he outlived them, or (worse yet) it was now possible that a pet would outlive him, be orphaned."

Though I haven't forsworn pets (like others here, they keep finding me), I understand the sentiment.

Oh Charlie, I’m so sorry to hear that. Bootsie was a family member, and when we lose them, we grieve as we do for other family.
