i bought a coffee and doughnut for all 5 people at the krispy kreame this morning and showed them all the kindle, if i fed them they felt they had to be nice to the old gent, i told one that she could read books on her iphone and she looked like a dear caught in the headlights

we need to make up some cards to hand out about doughnut day and mobileread, doughnuts, coffee, and books all go to gether so well

In lieu of donuts I made a stack of shortbread-pecan cookies with maple glazing.

Glazing = awesome. Maple glazing = double awesome with a roasted pecan nut on top.

Well, I celebrated Donut Day afterall with a New Orleans style bread pudding for dessert last night. I didn't think I would like it much but it was absolutely delish. And my server got excited and screamed (!) when she saw my Sony reader and learned about it. She came back twice just to write down more info including "mobileread.com" and was going to tell her husband that night that she absolutely had to have one.

And so it goes, another successful Doughnut Day at MobileRead.
