I'm not sure about the ComiXology app, but I tried it with both the Kindle and Amazon mp3 apps and it didn't work. I even called Customer Support and couldn't get them to understand that I was trying an "in-app" purchase from one of their apps.

Well, I seem to have gotten 300 coins added to my account. Not sure if that's the promo and I somehow spent exactly 200 coins I don't remember, or what. I'm probably not going to contact support about it since it's so close.

Well now I'm confused. I got the 500 coins on 10/3. Yesterday (10/8) I got an email from Amazon telling me that I got the 500 coins. Today when I looked, I saw that I had another 300 coins. I have no idea where they came from because I haven't bought anything on Amazon for the past several days (except for a few free apps, songs, and ebooks).

I *did* first watch a short movie extra after I first posted about this latest promotion. When the coins didn't show up quickly, I played a full TV episode to be sure. Since some people got 500 coins for watching short videos I don't see how it would have made a difference, but for those of you who got 300 coins you might try playing something longer and see if you get 500 more coins.

I decided to check my account; and guess what? I have 300 mystery coins too. I only played one video to qualify for my coins. It was a half hour "I Love Lucy" episode. When the coins didn't arrive by the 5th, I placed a call to Amazon to get them.

Time to call Amazon again to see where they came from. After a nice friendly chat with the rep, I found out that these 300 coins are part of a different campaign that has nothing to do with the 500 coin promo. She couldn't find the promo, so she sent out word about it to see if another rep knew the details. She said she'd send me an email once she found out.
