You might just be choosing the wrong cereal. Captain Crunch with Crunchberries is a very tasty cereal, as are the various flavors of Frosted Miniwheats. On the other hand, I don't care for corn flakes because they get soggy far too quickly. My only option is to eat them extremely quickly (one bowl in less than 1 minute).

As far as what I ate last, a cherry pastry.
