What has happened to my bargain detector?

I have been looking for a spring weight jacket for a while now and found one marked down from $80 to $40. I thought it would be a better bargain at $30. Anyway it fitted the bill and I bought it thinking $40 is still OK.

So when I get to the counter to pay for it the girl says "And that comes down to $30 today" whaaaaaaaaa?

You beauty! Wearing my $30 jacket now - even though stil really only worth $30.

I am still wondering why I didn't know about the further discount????

haha, don't count on your kids supporting you. i would if my parents needed it, but our neighbor has around 3 sons (no daughters) and they all practically abandoned him. his in-laws (who are amazingly kind!) and us help him around.

thank you for your concern we are fine, unfortunately, the ones who live near the river have been evacuated due to the river overflowing. they say we are going to get another typhoon on monday
