They plan another version? That depends on what they do, of course. For now, I recommend figuring out how to stop it from upgrading, if possible...

It is "properly released", even delayed, they promised it in May or even April... But I have no doubt they will release more new versions. And that their countermeasures will be worse and worse each time. BTW, was it you that mentioned TPM? Because they are totally using TPM now. No idea why, but they do.

Well, according to their logs, they have a fallback for that case. Maybe the same way as they did on the k4pc before? I am not sure my tool would work on Win10, actually. Since I don't know how fallback works.

I don't think you need to jailbreak the PW2 to have it work for this. It's one of the few devices left that works out of the box.

Not sure if some of you have read some of the reviews on the new kindle for pc store app. It's scoring below 3 . 2.7 average. Lots if complaining. Problems with sign ins books randomly going back to front cover page. Plus many more things to fix. So they might fix before making available to all regions. Or they might not. That's why companies usually make it just a few countries to start off.

looks like Amazon has released a 5.18.1.1.1 firmware for 10th gen PW4 and K10 which breaks dedrm.

10th gen Oasis 3 is still listed as 5.18.2, same as it has been.

I wonder if it also breaks the ability to jailbreak using AdBreak. (A jailbreak opens possibilities to defeat the new DRM.)

Update: There are reports on Reddit that it does also block jailbreaking.

Using K4PC 2.8.2 and Sat's workaround. Successful with all books but 2 (released 2022 & 2024). Error "Fontconfig error: Cannot load default config file
Trying to open B09blahblah_EBOK
BookOpen error 14 Missing magic bytes
Invalid book format, maybe KF8/MOBI?"

The blahblah is my own edit. Any suggestions? Tried deleting and downloading again, but same error.
