On a train between Manchester and Birmingham. A few stops ago a group of feral teenagers got on. They are driving me mad - when did shouting replace conversation?

Just look out for the "Dozens killed in train bloodbath: man batters teenagers to death whilst screaming obscenities".

Continuing my kitchen therapy to keep myself sane while staying with my mom.

I got a bunch of fresh corn in my vegetable delivery yesterday. Mom doesn't eat it and my sisters are out of town. So I made corn chowder -- nothing fancy, but it is very good. Followed one of Mark Bittman's many corn chowder recipes.

At home relaxing.

Just spent a great weekend with two old friends that I don't see enough of. One of them owns a house in South Wales, so we went and stopped there. Played a couple of rounds of golf, drank way too much beer, put the world to rights (a by product of the beer perhaps) and generally had a great time.
