We have been reading to him since he was two weeks old. He loves reading and being read to. It is neat to see him starting to read on his own. We have some flash cards to go with the sight words in the book which we need to start doing with him. I want to make sure he knows those words and has not just memorized the books. OK, so he has only read them twice but it is possible. You can see when he is saying something based on the context of the story and not knowing the word and that he knows who the person in the sentence is suppose to be by the picture because he will start the sentence with the persons name even when that is at the end.
It is really cool to see him putting things together. He did catch himself a few times last night when he got a word wrong. Je Ju Green this morning, Sumatra coffee now. I have to figure out the days tea in a bit. |

Some medium-quality Chinatown dragon well green. It's a little bitter, but tasty.

A "Russian Caravan Type" tea that my hosts have here. Not bad, actually.

I got a box of Tetley's Iced Tea Blend at the dollar store, so I'm trying it out. It's surprisingly good and not what I was expecting at all. The box doesn't say, but it tastes like a Chinese blend to me. There's no bitterness at all and it has the earthy flavor that many Chinese black teas have. It's really good for a grocery store teabag.
The only problem is that the teabags are extra large for making pitchers of iced tea, so there's too much for just one cup. |

After a profoundly exhausting work week, spiced up with an unexpected dental crisis, I'm unwinding tonight with Talisker 10 yr.

Finishing off the last tea of an unproductive day, while nursing a crushing headache. I suspect my sinuses are finally reacting to the sudden surge of pollen.

![]() Actually, I'm a bit surprised, only because I expect mostly Ceylon out of Tetley. Though they've long been one of the better supermarket tea bags widely available in the US, so I'm not surprised it's decent tea. @poohbear_nc: I understand what you mean about that kind of week, though mine didn't include any dental fun for a change. I did, however, join you in a bit of Talisker 10Yr. |

Peet's Irish Breakfast Blend tea. But it's gone and I'm tied to this keyboard while I wait for patches to apply several thousand miles away.
