Because I saved nearly €200 by finding a great offer for my accommodation in Dublin I'm very tempted to use some of the money I saved to buy a scanner. However, in two weeks my mobile phone plan ends and I can extend and choose a new phone and it might be a better idea to use that money to buy some accessories for my new Samsung Note.

I'm watching the Typhoon Tracking site. There is a major typhoon moving DIRECTLY towards us... Right now it is south of Okinawa, and moving fast. They expect it to hit this area about 6pm tomorrow...

Still at my mom's, so still practicing my biscuit -making

. I had some fresh peaches today, so I made sweet biscuits for peach shortcake by adding 3 tbsps of sugar to the flour and 1 tsp of vanilla extract to the milk, and I used butter instead of shortening. Big success! They are delicious and I can't seem to stay away from them.

The Sat photos looked a lot worse last night.. The track is heading directly towards us, but it looks as if it's losing a lot of its umph as it passes over land. I'm guessing that all we will get will be a rain storm, and perhaps not even a bad one. The storm has a very different look this morning than it did last night.

Mom is actually doing a bit better. The doc told me that he can't fix what is wrong with her, just manage her meds. She doesn't know the meaning of giving up, though, so she's getting back into the swing of family affairs again. We had her out at 9:00 last night on the patio of the frozen yogurt store with all the family toddlers and dogs, and I think she enjoyed it as much as any of us.

I used the recipe from this website, just making the changes for the sweet biscuit near the bottom of the page. They are really good!
