A busy day today. Finished up the Kielbasa that I stuff yesterday, cold smoking for 6 hours and hot smoking for the last two hours to give the proper "snap" texture and mahogany colour to the skin. Came out perfect, I was really chuffed.

Finishing up with a wee dram of Talisker while I watch Jeopardy.

If you haven't had it, it's Twinings' black tea blend that's all Chinese ("Fine black tea expertly selected from the Hunan, Jiangxi, Anhui and Yunnan provinces in China"). It's decent, it tastes distinctly like Chinese black tea, and it's available in grocery stores.

I probably don't have to say this, but the teabag version is wretched, even moreso than other Twinings teas. The loose tea in a tin is quite good, though, and reasonably priced for the quality.

Good to know. Though now that I've found some decent mail-order teas at reasonable prices, I don't often buy in the store.

Drinking more of the Murchie's English Breakfast. A pleasant break from the Balmoral Blend I usually drink in the mornings.

The odd thing about my tea tastes is that I enjoy the shopping experience as much as the drinking. Whenever I find an international grocery store, I manage to buy something that I haven't tried. As a consequence, I don't have enough room in my cupboard to mail order any tea. I order samples to figure out what I'll buy when I finally do have room, but never seem to drink through the tea as fast as I acquire it during weekend excursions.

Since I've hit my afternoon decaf point, I'm having some Tazo Wild Sweet Orange. It's disturbingly artificial, but really tasty.
