I had to have my Lori kitty put down this afternoon. I lost her littermate Gus a couple of months ago and she couldn't seem to get over it. They would have been 19 years old in October. I'm very sad tonight.

I am so very sorry for your loss Betty. It hurts so much to lose a furry family member. Every time I go through the pain, I wonder if I can ever face losing another cat again .... but I always find room in my heart to eventually add another family member. The fact that your kitties reached 19 years old speaks volumes to the level of love & care you lavished on them. Hugs!

Sorry to hear about that.
My cat didn't get to live that long.
I found mine as a stray.
It was being harassed by a couple of crows.
I chased the crows away and the stray, who was a kitten that time, followed me home.

Thanks to you all for the words of support. Although I woke up sad this morning, I didn't wake up worrying about her as I have been. Just making the decision was the hard part. I held her in my arms the whole time, and that was good for us both...

Making a new appointment with my dentist. In my calendar I had the appointment set for today. Normally the dentist always either text or mails you the day before the appointment and when I didn't get an email yesterday I looked up my appointment card and saw that the appointment was for yesterday. I know that I changed the appointment to fit in with a visit to the dental hygienist but I was convinced the appointment changed from a Monday to a Tuesday and not the other way around. I also know for sure that I changed the appointment in Google Calendar.

It seems that my Blackberry has instead of syncing with Google Calendar and changing it has deleted the new entry and kept the old.

On Friday there was a problem with the system at the dentist's and it didn't send out the emails. My new appointment is set for the end of July, it was the earliest date available for a dual appointment.

Besides entering it in Google Calendar I have written it down on a post it note and stuck it to my computer. I'm glad that in 4 week's time my Blackberry gets replace with a Samsung Note, hopefully everything will sync correctly then.

Waiting for my package of art supplies to arrive. I've also ordered India ink and a pen and nib and I can't wait to try it out again. I also hope my Artbin gets here quickly because my desk is starting to be overrun with various art supplies.

Whilst waiting for my package to arrive I'm looking for a decent scanner for a nice price. I don't want a Canon because I just had to throw away a perfectly fine scanner because Canon decided not to make drivers for Windows 7 64bit. I'm looking at the Epson V330 which is reasonably priced and has the added bonus that it can scan slides, that way I can finally scan my parents wedding pictures and make a nice album for them.
