That's exactly what I'm looking for. I've been mostly using Creative players but I don't like their current design for the small and simple players. I've had a nice Philips but it's random function wasn't random; after switching it on the first full song it played was always the same, that annoyed me. I've heard and read positive things about Sandisk's Sansa series so I think I'll order the Clip Zip soon.

At the moment I'm trying to decide whether or not to bring my notebook with me when house-sitting this week. I'm going from Wednesday afternoon until Friday morning and since Thursday is a bank holiday I'll be there all day.

Is it still sold out everywhere? When I got my iPad 2 the only store that had them in stock (that I could find) was Best Buy Mobile. You can check online to see if there is one near you, and I think that you can even check the Best Buy website to see if they have the iPad in stock at a certain store.

Attempting to watercolour, and failing. I was never any good at watercolouring at school but I really liked doing it. I'm looking around for a course, I don't want to buy a book to learn from it that way because I know I won't do it, I need a course I have to attend to get myself doing it.

I wish you luck! I love to paint, and have even sold a few paintings, but they were all done with Acrylics. No matter how many times I try my hand with watercolors, all I have on the paper when I'm finished is mud! Watery, grey-brown mud!

I really would love to be able to handle them. It would be so nice to be able to carry a small paint set when traveling, and you certainly can't do that with Acrylics. My hat's off to anyone who can make a nice picture with watercolors! Go take a lesson and learn how to use them!

My problem is with colours, I just can never get them right. I'm reasonably good in black and white and even grey tones but not colour.

I borrowed my sister's small watercolour set with 12 colours and painted a for me recognisable flower (again the colours are a bit off). I didn't paint it the proper way with moistening the paper first, first I want to get a hang of mixing colours.

My father has just gone to the local art store to see if he can find why one of their machines is acting up and I asked him to inform what a nice watercolour starter set costs with more than 12 colours.

What I would love to be able to do is when I'm on vacation to take with me my watercolours and blank postcard and paint my own to send to family.

Sometimes my father can go overboard a bit. Yesterday I asked him if we have any energy saving lamps colour 840 (cool white with a reasonable colour balance) in stock. I'm trying to watercolour but the lamps above my desk are warm white which makes it harder to mix colours. He immediately started looking for a fluorescent light fixture that I could hang over my desk because 840 isn't any good I should use 940 or 950 (first number is the colour quality and the last two the first digits of the colour temperature). Sigh. I just want a simple energy saving lamp with a normal fitting I can put in my desklamp. I don't need quality nine, eight is more than enough for me to mix my colours. After searching I found none in stock so I ordered one for myself.

(yes, I know my father means well but sometimes he goes overboard for simple things)

Resting my eyes after watching the total eclipse of the sun! I can only imagine early man reacting to this magnificent experience... and blinding himself because he didn't have the proper eye protection! There were dozens of people outside their apartments in the building across the street, a handful on every floor, all with their heads turned up to the sky, holding the special eye protectors sold all over Japan for this occasion.

"Aaaiiyyeeee!!! The Gods have taken away our sun!!!!"

Wishing I didn't promise to work tomorrow, becase I feel like crap. Not sure if it's allergy related or I caught a bug, but my chest and throat arn't happy.

We just watched the eclipse of the sun, both on the TV and outside. We made a paper viewer and watched it on the shaded paper. We also found that using a pipe and shinning the light on a shadow showed it as well. Kind of interesting to watch.

I am seriously considering taking my Sony Tablet S back to the store, and telling

them that I would rather have a second iPad 2, than have to go through the hoops

with the Sony.

Grr!! Normally I would stick with the problem, but this just isn't worth it.
