Been there, done that. Some of the areas I lived in in my younger years might have trouble qualifying as rural. The population was about 1 person to every 150 km².

The PBM has trouble sleeping when it is too dark and too quiet.

I did once. Now a combination of schleppiness/price/post-Covid heebiejeebies about sitting in a crowd means it's not something I do anymore. Ditto for the movies, although I'd not be a fan of the FX spectacles that seem to have taken over anyway.

[Because I was shocked, shocked to discover last night that a neighbor's never been] TPBM has been to New York.
