The selection is gone when I close the full screen dictionary, that's when I get lost

Okido, I'll see about adding an option to retain the selection when exiting the dictionary

Analogus: you're welcome!

/edit: option to keep text selection now added in the latest revision. I also added an option to prevent the screen flashing (= full screen refresh) when closing overlays, such as the dictionary popup.

Many thanks as always!

One thing I asked long ago:
Would it be possible to make at least the font-size-dialogue closable with a single tab onto the screen (like closing dic)?

I use this dialogue very often. Man could add this function to the existing one (same option)...

Thanks for reminding me

The difficulty I had with implementing that is that the dictionary popup is the only one that has a 'doTap' function of its own (out of the box). So for every other overlay I'd have to add a new function, and that didn't seem like the proper way to do it (and I would want to make it work for most if not all overlays, not just a select few). However, I may have just found a way to create a general solution, to allow closing of all overlays from a single function. I'll post here when I know more.

Please don't regard me as irksome ;-)
The reader is becomming more and more really perfect. So insignificant things become more and more conspicuous. It is to hope the reader lives long enough to see the end of the develpment process... A new firmware every other day maybe is somehow stressfull :-)

No worries, I enjoy the challenge

I've kind of hit a wall in making a general function though, so I may have to resort to overlay-specific functions after all.

Many thanks, I will give it a try if I can figure out how to install this revision, if not I will wait until the next release.

Any indication of when version 2.1.x will be released?

Cannot install PRS+ 2.1.0 on PRS-350sc

Hi,

I am trying to install PRS+ ver. 2.1.0 on Sony PRS-350sc. I downloaded the file from "http://erhartc.bplaced.net/ereader/index.php", unzipped, copied the "PRSPInstaller" on the device (root folder on the volume). Nothing happens upon restart, I cannot see extra options under "Settings". Also next restart does not delete the "PRSPInstaller" folder, so I think it cannot recognize the folder for some reason.

More details:
- I am using Mac to copy the file to the device.
- I cleared the book reader with Settings->Initialization->Format Internal Memory
- I tried with the PRS-350 file (2012.02.04) and the 'special' PRS-350 edition. No luck with either of them. Tried several times.

What could be the problem?

P.S. Great job to the team, this is one impressive software, very, very useful!

Edit: Tried to copy the file using Windows7, again no luck. I expect to see extra item under "Settings" (my objective is to install Chinese fonts for EPUB and change the EPUB css), but nothing appears.

Was PRS+ ever installed with setup.exe? Or are you using a "russian" cfw from Amutin or Boroda?

If the latter you will need a "launcher" too
Please read here - Spoiler "How to set"

Thank you, Mark.

What I was missing is 'the first install' with Setup.exe. From what I read on the above web page I assumed that if there is a 'PRSPInstaller' folder in the reader it will 'pick it up' automatically. But your comment and some research showed that first time I need the 'Setup.exe'. I downloaded the zip from the project website and that worked.

It will be helpful if this is mentioned for other people who stumble on this.

Thanks again!

Added hint to the website. I didn't want to do this first because there should not arise the impression that my person is the author of PRS+. That would not be fair to Kartu, quisvir and the other developers.

Thanks a lot, that would be excellent. I'm perfectly happy with PRS+ as it is, but considering the very useful improvements and features mentioned lately I'm getting somewhat excited nonetheless.
