I am right now thinking how soft I have become in my old age.

I want to wash the sheets on our bed and the cat has made himself so comfortable I don't have the heart to shift him. Even though he has plenty of other beds to sleep on. Including his (spare) queen size bed in the other bedroom. His feather pillow in our bedroom. His towel covered cushion in the lounge room. His outdoor chair with cushion. Not even counting his non-bed beds like in blokes shorts shelf. In the linen shelving on his choice of towels, doonas, sheets etc.

Hey? Methinks he has chosen this bed now because I want to wash sheets.

Going now to move cat and strip bed.

A funny story about cats and beds. 9 years ago when we first moved to this house and our friends and their cat had to move with us because their house was not yet built.

Mr M and Brandy (now deceased) hated each other. Bloke did not like Brandy so he was not allowed on our bed. So most of the time Mr M was on our bed and Brandy was on their bed. One day I found both cats on their bed. Not snuggled up, but on the same bed. usually when they came within two feet of each other some sort of cat nastiness ensued. I still don't understand how this two cats on one bed happened.

At the time Mr M was quite young, and Brandy was quite old with cancer. Maybe Mr M was trying to see if he could lie on their bed without being beaten up, and Brandy was going to let him. It had to be some sort of territorial compromise.

Sitting here feeling dumb. My wife couldn't log onto the iMac, so I tried her password. No luck. I tried several combinations. No luck. I tried logging into my account. No luck. I told her our son might have done something to it, since he was the last person to successfully log on. I left it sitting idle and went off to do other things.

Fast forward several hours. I'm sitting here on my PC posting at MobileRead when two words suddenly jump into my head: CAPS LOCK.

I had a bit of a DUH moment today, too.
A customer came in today and his wife had told him to buy a new "stockings lamp". I didn't have a clue what that was and he didn't either. He called his wife and with her description and the fact that it was a lamp for in a garden light fixture I finally understood he was asking for a SOX lamp.

We often have people come up with creative names of their own. My favourite is people asking for a flambéed lamp when they mean a flame lamp (which is a terracotta coloured lamp).

10 episodes of Game of Thrones was NOT ENOUGH. Just finished watching the last DVD. Now there are no more until they come on 'merican TV next month! now I am addicted.

Spoiler:
I knew she would hatch those eggs and walk out of the funeral pyre.

I WANT MORE! NOW! I will have to start reading all the books I guess.

I tried reading the first book... I really wanted to like it, as I'd heard so many great reviews. I guess I just don't care for the fantasy genre. I've tried several of the more popular ones, hoping for a good 'series' read, and can never seem to get more than 20 pages into the books before I give up. I'll have to try the videos... Perhaps I'll have more tolerance, and ability to suspend disbelief visually.

I don't do fantasy too well either, but we enjoyed the DVD. I guess it is not too fantastical until the end of the first series. But it is spectacularly violent and you can forget about 'good ole fashioned values'.

I don't know if reading the books will spoil it for the next DVD or having watched the first series on DVD would spoil it for reading the book. *sigh*
