You get a bit more background in MH Vendetta.
I finished Vendetta the other day, and am 2/3 of the way through Alpha.
I'm enjoying Alpha a bit more than Vendetta, but it's close.

So, with this countdown, I have 12-14 days to read each remaining books plus the short stories/novellas. I think I will make it. Currently listening to Blood Rites. I'm about halfway done. I think I've tracked down all the other short stories/novellas now except for the one that is in a game.
