I went to bed between the ninth and tenth innings, but figured the Cubs took it when the neighbors started lighting fireworks.

I'm having some Rishi Golden Yunnan. It's not bad, but it was overpriced for the quality.

Sencha this morning.

Trying to figure out my work tea.

Trying to figure out a brief with no real guidance from my lead. It is a not a huge problem, I sent him my talking points and he went good and then told me to aim for 5 minutes. It was nice that he finally mentioned a time limit.

Milk Oolong. Little Man decided that 6 was 7 and was happily up and signing this morning. This is not a problem for me, I get up at 6:30 but my Husband is not a happy camper. Between a 4 year old and two dogs whose clocks are off, he is going to be losing out on sleep for a week or so.

I have been slowly fixing a not so minor problem with my tea equipment. I am awful about cleaning stuff. So I ended up with close to five years of accumulated tea residue on my pot and in my thermos. The good news is that my Husband home brews and has some really good cleaners and sterilizers. The bad news is that it is taking two or three overnights with the cleaning products to get through the mess.

My tea pot and basket are all nice and clean now. I am doing better with rinsing and cleaning them. The thermos has an impressive layer of tea residue on the bottom of it. I suspect that a good amount would come off if I had a long enough brush to reach the bottom but I don't.

Ah well, lesson learned. Clean more regularly.

I give my Contigo mugs a thorough soak in bleachy water periodically. That does the job for me. Of course I don't let it get to the point of sludge.

Making a cup of some unknown "English Breakfast" tea in my hotel room. Not hopeful.
