Just water right now. But soon, a cup of French Breakfast tea and a sandwich on a good mini-baguette.

No tea today. I had to commute to some place for work and then it was in and out of offices and appointments and just general work stuff. A very good day, I killed a presentation and so have to prepare to give at least two more. This is a real win. So yeah.
But not tea which is just kind of painful... Lots of Starbucks coffee so not horrific but not great. The bad news is that the transplant has been pushed off by at least four months and there is a less then 40% chance that it will happen at all. The Doctors are not optimistic that my FIL will respond to the drugs in a manner that will make a transplant possible. If there is no transplant we are probably looking at about 3-6 months. So ughhhhh. |

Peet's Major Dickason's in my new Contigo mug. I decided I needed a mug that would never leak and would only be used for coffee, to avoid contaminating my existing Contigo mugs - one for tea, and one for my faux San Pellegrino. Once you have coffee in a mug, it's hard to get the coffee taste out of it, and that does nothing to improve the taste of my tea!

Darjeeling in my thermos and cup.
Little Man reminded me that you are not suppose to drink and drive as I poured the last of the pot into my travel mug. The transplant is off for at least four months. His counts were too high for the transplant to work. He is on a new drug to try and reduce them and there is a 40% chance that they will be able to conduct the transplant in four months. |

Got the dreaded 3:00 AM call that a relative was on the way to the emergency room.* They thoughtfully provide a coffee machine in the trauma waiting room. Even given the road coffee I've had in the past, this was foul swill! Finished off a can of Diet Pepsi on the ride home to cleanse my palate.
* Not to worry. Everyone is as well as can be expected and on their way home, now. |

Seriously, Emergency Room coffee is only comparable to Police Precinct coffee. Or English "Builders Tea". Thoroughly disgusting stuff. I'm drinking Murchie's Russian Caravan Blend tea right now. An excellent blend with a substantial portion of Lapsang Souchong in it -- excellent for a wet and rainy day. |

Last tea of the day.
Quote:
When we got home my wife asked the kids how their day was. They told her they had a good time. And then our daughter whispered, "Daddy had a beer!" It took me a few seconds to figure it out. And then I had to explain that Root Beer was okay. |
