Any of K3 to PW1. Later models get KFX and the earlier K1, K2, DX, DXG either can't register or connect or only get old mobi.

Or anything later than PW1 but not getting updates (PW3, PW4 etc) if you don't mind KFX.

There is an article here describing how to get text off Amazon Web Reader. The original repo for it seems hidden, but copies exists... Text only though, and resulting layout may not match.

I have a Voyage, and don't mind KFX as I use Calibre. Is the Voyage safe to use because it can't be updated with the new unbreakable DRM?

Make sure you register any kindle you buy from Ebay to Amazon as sokn as you get it and if it can’t be registered return it.

Just wanted to say a heartfelt "Thank you!" to all on here who post helpful advice. I started to do my semi-regular backup of Amazon purchases, only to find that the usual process didn't work...

Yes, and if someone thinks they have lost it, or stolen (and reports it to Amazon) and then later finds it, Amazon won't re-enable it. It stays blocked.

If I lost a Kindle, I'd wait until I was 100% sure I could not find it before reporting it to Amazon.
