This heat. Yesterday the official local temperature was just below 39C, in the yard it was well over 40C. I know that some of you live in places where these are normal, but not here. The average daytime temperature for July is 23C and houses are not build to deal with temperatures over 30C (not central cooling systems).
During the night temperatures dropped down to 25C, which is just unpleasant. But we finally got a decent breeze. Tonight should be a little bit cooler, though. And from tomorrow temperatures will start to go down. |

What place are you from?
It's kinda funny how this type of temperature would be ok for me due to the placere where I live, but bellow 24 would start to be cold for me. It's normal to see people using hoodie when it's at 21°C degrees Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk |

When we have hot weather we often get thunderstorms at night, which cools things down. We haven't had any yet this week, maybe tonight. The combination of hot weather and jot being able to sleep well at night makes my cranky. It's good I don't have to work today. |

It's a bit of a first world rant. But why do these vacation parks always provide a coffee maker for pots of coffee and a coffee maker for cups of coffee (either a machine for pads or pods). Most of the kitchens on vacation parks aren't big, having to two coffee machines and an electric kettle is overkill.
In January I had book a studio apartment, with a tiny kitchenette. The counter space was about 12 inches, if that. And it had the three machines on. Since I'm a tea drinker and I don't drink coffee at all I always put away the coffee machines to free up some space. Though I had to get creative with the studio apartment, they ended up in the cabinet under the sink in the bathroom. Maybe you should be able to choose which machine(s) you want when booking. You always get a chance to book extras with it such as towels, a kitchen package and other things. Why not ask for your preference in hot drink machines. |

Sigh, the "influencers" has found our store now, too. Today a very nervous young lady entered the store, wanting to talk to the owner.
She told my father she was putting on a play in August and wanted us to sponsor her. In return we got 2 "free" tickets and she post about us on Instagram (my father might only have a vague idea what that is). My father said no. With the usual story that in the past we overspend on our advertisement budget every year. So now we decide in December/January where we want to spend that money, so if you want us to advertise in your newspaper/website/magazine/etc. you should let us now at the end of the year and we'll take a look at it. So far only one had actually done so, the local/neighbourhood newspaper and that's a good investment. But she must have been desperate to ask us for this. |

Do people like the person who posted this https://www.reddit.com/r/ebookdeals/..._get_paid_for/ think people are stupid?
On a side note, I looked at the sample and it might quite possibly be the worst ebook I've ever seen. EDIT: Although there are ways to get paid for doing nothing virtually risk free, if you have the assets. But if you have enough assets, you probably aren't gonna buy a spammy $3 ebook about how to do so. Last edited by binaryhermit; 07-31-2019 at 04:29 AM. |

I must have been a monster in my prior life...
You cannot, cannot make this stuff up. You just can't.
I have a book for quoting. It's 1,218 pages. It's a Torah. In a made-up, phonetically-spelled, texting-type language. Spoiler:
I swear I am NOT making this up. Hitch |

Hitch: Well, if they pay you good money for it .... and they'll have to pay to have it published .... At least you and the publishers get some benefit!
Except that you have to LOOK at it, in the mean time. Sigh. |

![]() Ask them if they ran this past their rabbi, and what he said. (I'm willing to bet they didn't, and his reaction if they did might not be printable in a family publication.) There are phonetic transcriptions of Torah in Latin alphabet. They are intended for blind users who use a screen reader to feed audio output. This is something very else. You could suggest they should do Talmud next... ![]() ______ Dennis |
